You people are fricking delusional.
Do you guys really, honestly think LSU is a better head coaching gig than Florida?
We aren't chopped liver by any means, but UF is college coaching job elite because of recruiting, weather, and financial advantages. They also have a MUCH better AD and athletic department.

I'd rather LSU try and fail than die the slow death that Miles is bringing.
Thats a fair argument.
If you'd rather take the risk I understand. I'm just not there yet I guess.
But people who think we would easily find a better coach have lost their minds. Its realllllly hard, even for the very top coaching job schools.

Dude. They have well over 100 really solid D1 players every year in Florida. Louisiana has great top end talent, but we aren't CLOSE to their kind of numbers.
Miami, FSU, and UF can all split them and there are still plenty to go around. Not that Miami will get as many as UF or FSU anymore.
In the last two years, florida has had 14 5 stars for a state that has three power 5 schools. Louisana has had 10 5 stars for a state with one power 5 schools. Not sure why you are laughing

They don't have an IPF, but they are building a brand new one. LSU's facilities are mediocre in the SEC now FYI

Your graph shows its warmer in Florida in the winter and same temperature in the summer?

Very convenient you chose the last 2 years. Last year was maybe the most talented year for Louisiana ever. Lets look at the last 10...also, lets look at how many D1 players each state produces in that same time span. I clearly said Louisiana has great top end talent, but Florida is DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.
Just for the record: You are arguing LSU has a stronger recruiting base than Florida due to no instate competition and Louisiana has better weather than Florida.
You are also arguing LSU is a better job than Florida.

Wash if anything.
I'd give LSU the advantage as they have more talent per capita and little competition for said talent

Hombre, thats just the football program and those rankings change based on performance each year.
Their endowment and annual athletic department revenue dwarfs LSU's.
There are arguments to make in this thread, that is not one of them.

Going from a coaching genius like Meyer and dropping down is one thing.. not such a steep cliff down from Miles

Florida had 42, 4* or better recruits in 2014. LA had 16. LSU only got 5 of the top 10 recruits (instate), with the rest going to UA, TAMU, and UF. To put it into perspective, the state of AL had 12 4* or better recruits, an UA only only got 5 of the top 10. They split the rest with AU. So, to your point about better recruiting, Bama gets it's share of LA's top recruits. UF is better

emotional?
I am bored at work which has led to increased TDing.
Speaking of, I am about to head home.
See you kids tomorrow when its time to procrastinate again. I like these discussions.

Do coaches leave Top-3 coaching spots in the country for other coaching jobs?
Because two of the coaches you listed did.
Okay, call it one and one half.

Wtf?
Spurrier left for the NFL and Meyer had menstrual cramps.

no. UF and LSU both have positives and negatives. I could argue either one would be a better job. Both are top 10, imo.

It doesn't mean they didn't leave.
