I say we should make all of these guys say no. I don't think all are realistic, but it wouldn't surprise me if we got 1 yes, which is all we need. Most of these are semi-realistic, so I left out the Harbaughs and such.

(In no particular order)

1. Jimbo fisher
* PROS------Great recruiter, proven winner, great offensive mind, can develop QBs, LSU ties.
* CONS------Discipline (Winston), Low chance he goes
* Bottom Line----Great coach, HR hire.

2. Mike Gundy
* Pros-----Great offense, has won conference championships, Has developed good QBs, great track record in comparison to most coaches, TX recruiting
* CONS-----Recruiting questions in LA, A few bad years, defensive question marks.
*Bottom Line----Great coach, questionable D

3. Jim Mora, Jr
* Pros-----NFL experience, good offense, great recruiting, built UCLA into winner.
* CONS-----Lost some games that he shouldn't, limited college experience.
*Bottom Line----Good football mind, questionable college experience

4. Dabo Swinney
* PROS-----Tremendous recruiter, good offense, young, not afraid to fire assistants, Good QB evaluation, Beat Urban Meyer, puts many star players in pros
* CONS-----Needs good assistants, trouble beating USCe
* Bottom Line-----Another "CEO" coach, but keep Chavis and we might be in business. Can recruit with the best.

5. Bret Bielema
*PROS-----Power run game like our current recruits, proven winner, Defensive mind.
*CONS-----recruiting questions, too high a buyout, doubtful he leaves, no proven SEC success
*Bottom Line-----Has some success and runs a good style for us, but hasn't recruited at a high level and has been questionable in SEC success.

IF all these guys say no, then you go to the back up considerations like Mark Hudspeth.

Hudspeth's recruiting ties and success at ULL is encouraging, but I would be nervous about him being ready for the big time.

Interesting post and somewhat realistic.

Now, we're getting down to it.

With this somewhat realistic list, will you anti-Miles people tell me which one or ones of these guys are guaranteed to come in here and go toe-to-toe against Saban better than Miles, and guaranteed overall to win more games than Miles?

Which one or ones stand a very good chance--over 50 percent--of doing the same two things?

I'll hang up and listen.

I'd say all of them can lose 3-4 games a year. Miles did great 05-07 (lots of luck). However, since 08, with the exception of one year, we've fricking been mediocre. I think all of these guys could at least do that.
