How is that not a decline?
(No one says it's Nat'l Champion or bust....that's a fallacy.)

One BCS game over the past 7 seasons even though the SEC has sent 2 every one of those seasons.
(that means other SEC teams are succeeding along side the mighty bama)

"but we've got more 9 win seasons BLAH blah blah"
"but our head coach is great with kids"

Ahh the beauty of numbers. .... you can always prove and disprove whatever you want

Example: would you say we are on a decline from curly/gerry to nick/les?

I think those numbers would show the program is on a very high level

It is by definition a decline. Not sure how you can fight that logic

It's so spoiled and selfish of you to want and expect elite success.

4 top 5 finishes in 10 years? The previous coach had 1 top 5 finish in 5 years. LSU is 8 out of 9 in the top 25, 7 of 9 in the top 20. Pretty steady if you ask me.

heaven forbid one should mention who most of the players from those first 3 seasons also played for
(surely that's just a coincidence)

If the previous coach only finished in the top 5 only 20% of the time and the coach replaced him finishes in the top 5 40% of the time, it is by definition "an improvement". AND he is doing it over a longer period of time. Want to start calculating winning percentages and average rankings?

If Saban hasn't went back to college this would have been a much better run

Wait, I thought the Miles haters keep bringing up Saban....I'm confused.

So 10 years is not a long enough sample size?
Got it.
I think most would disagree with you on that one.

LSU has at least 1 maybe 2 more titles if Saban isn't at Bama.

Good thing we have NFL players on our team every year or else we wouldn't even be squeaking out these 9 win seasons.
