Texas is the second most populated state in the nation with the largest football talent pool. The top prospects from the state will accept invites to the game and Arkansas and Texas will put on the best show they can for them. Do you really not understand how this works?

If a recruit suddenly forgets about LSU because he just happened to show up at the Texas Bowl, then said recruit is a dumbass with little attention span that we don't want, anyway.

The bowl game/good for recruiting angle is vastly overplayed here.

LSU played in Texas twice already this year. Also I don't think LSU is hurting in recruiting

Pretty sure inviting and/or hosting recruits for a bowl game is a recruiting violation. If they do come they would have to pay their own way. And while I'm sure there are some shady ways of LSU paying for it, it isn't worth the risk.

Ok, nm, so we can invite them unofficially and let them come to things such as watching "open" practices. As long as they pay for everything.
