Here's what folks like Zach are really telling us:

"I'm old and retired, and I won't be here much longer, so I don't really care about future generations. Yes, my generation was enhanced by technlogical inventions attributable to NASA, but I don't care about future generations. Screw them, I'll keep my tax dollars".

It's this mentality that has corrupted much of the GOP members in Congress these days that are of the same generation of Zach. Remember, his generation has also brought down banks, etc. His generation has basically said, screw the youth.
