Is that clause still in his contract where the only team that doesn't have to pay the buyout is Michigan?

No, there is no longer a Michigan clause. But I don't know what his buyout would be. Anyone know?

It doesn't matter. Do you seriously think Michigan (or anyone else) is going to hire Miles away from LSU?

I seriously think UM will make Miles an offer. I don't seriously think Miles will leave.

I'm pretty sure that Miles does not have a buyout. Anyone know for sure?

His buyout was north of 15 million last I remember, which is fricking crazy. It may not be that high anymore but I'm not sure.

No. He gets paid this amount (or close to it) if we fire him. This amount does not apply if he leaves on his own.

I agree with the second part of your statement, but unfortunately not the first part. Nobody in the Michigan administration wants Miles up there. It's all a big dog-and-pony show. If Miles is such a hot commoditiy, why has no one tried to hire him away in ten years? Everyone keeps talking about McClendon, but at least Cholly Mac was seriously courted by at least two other programs during his time at LSU.

I'm with you on almost all your posts (especially about the pumpers), but I have to respectfully disagree. I don't think there will be an offer, and the the only reason Miles isn't denying it is so he and Bass can put the squeeze on half-wit Joe Alleva again.

And by the way, for all the pumpers out there, I don't thouroughly detest Miles. I for one wouldn't mind seeing him as LSU's AD. After what Alleva did to the Duke lacrosse team, I would like to see that SOB shown the door ASAP.
