Where does Mark Helfrich rank among CFB HCs?

22-3 in his two seasons so far.

Top 15? 10?

Or do we need to wait a full four year cycle to fully judge?

You'll get a better answer once the QB leaves and he gets his own roster. Nothing but pure speculation but IMO he won't be anywhere close to Chip.

Just like David Shaw, who you can really start evaluating now, check back in a couple of years.

It's hard to say. After last year, i thought helfrich was awful. They have obviously played much better this year, but as many others have noted, lets see how he does without mariota. I will give him credit, the team has improved a lot throughout the season, and in retrospect the arizona loss doesn't look as bad now.

The funny thing regarding the comparison to Shaw is that i knew from the stanford loss to okie state in the fiesta that shaw was a shitty coach, yet people kept pumping him up for the next 2 years. Now after this season everyone sees how he really was just riding the coattails of harbaugh and now all the momentum of the program is gone. Same as larry coker in miami.
