And climbing. Yet the mouth breathers on the left believe that deficit is more of a key factor than debt and simultaneously ignore exactly how outrageous our current deficit is.

Any what does the US have to show for it? Not a damn thing. It is like a family going into debt spending money on travel, food and parting...

this is what happens when you hand the most powerful seat in the world to a community organizer because of the color of his skin and he can read a teleprompter well

You DO realize that Congress actually spends the money? You fully realize this right? Blaming Obama (and I'm not a fan of him) for our debt is like blaming your kids when you spend yourself in debt.

Barry has spent a shite load of money through EO's too. Plus, the majority of that $ was spent by his ramming HIS agenda through Congress when the majority of the population didn't want it.

Well it's his party that's been in control of Congress. And you certainly don't see him proposing any cuts to our spending do you? No, he only proposes more debt.

quote:You do realize that Obama has the ability to speak to the leaders in Congress to reduce spending. Actually Obama's budget(s) never received 1 vote from Congress because he was actually seeking MORE money than congress would appropriate.....I might be wrong about this, but I don't think 1 budget has been passed since Obama has been in office...it's all been continuing resolutions.

quote:that is correct. The House has passed several budgets each year the GOP has had control, but the Senate under Reid has never considered even discussing a budget.

Other than the obvious already spoken, do you remember the Republicans trying to cut spending? Remember the continuing resolution debate? The R's said they would not approve another CR. This resulted in the sequestor. The Democrats then attacked, with help from the media, and smeared the right because they wanted to "shut down the government". Remember Obama's make it hurt doctrine? Remember Obama ordering US Park employees to install barricades around monuments that do not cost any money to operate simply just to make sure that people knew it was the "bad republicans" who were causing this?
The Republicans caved due to pressure from the White House, the Left, the media, and the mouth breathers.

But in a good way.
At the current pace, by the time he leaves office, he will have amassed as much debt as almost every other President put together.
And you thought Bush was irresponsible.

Bush amassed 4 to 4.5 trillion in debt in 8 years. Obama beat that in less than 4 and has exceeded that. Obama's administration has ran up anywhere from 9 to 11 trillion in debt.
