Ehhhhh, they aren't the top choice. People would be satisfied though.

Except that it could be used as a selling point. Hey -big swinging dick- head coach, come to Michigan and build the athletic department to how you see fit. Then in 18 months we start looking for a guy to your "boss".

Which should be their entire pitch to Harbaugh, along with a blank check, especially given the fact that the reason he's not long for San Fran is because he and Baalke are feuding over control of personnel decisions.

True, but it's still unsettling knowing that they could literally bring in anybody without your approval. It just sounds liek a bad situation. Michigan has proven with RichRod they don't value the HC position very much, at least not like tOSU or the southern schools do.
