I applaud the coaches for what finally seemed like a varied offense with some creative play calling.

That said....we rush for almost 400 yards with over 500 total yards and still could never put the game out of reach. Until QB play and trust in that position grows to hit big passing plays, we'll never be able to put teams away.

I can see growth and I think another off-season will do great things for Harris and Jennings going into next year, but this will continue to be a worry until I see otherwise.

8 and 4 without a QB not really that bad.

What does big passing plays have to do with putting teams away? Is a passing TD worth more points than a rushing TD?

We just need to be more effective in the red zone, getting 6 where we've been getting 3.

Yes I agree. My major concern starts at the top of the pyramid and works it way down. Highest paid staff for 8-4. One more lame arse average 3-4 loss season and hopefully the admins wake up and make a change. 5 of the past 7 seasons with 3 or more losses.

Not a bad assessment, but hitting two short field goals and making it a 12 point game instead of 6 at the end puts it out reach, no?

Something HAS to be done about QB play. We arent going to win any championships when we are incapable of passing for 200 yards.

Agreed. Still see quite a bit of "inefficiency", bordering on ineptness, in the passing game. Can point to some projection issues especially against stunts (Magee has been a godsend!), of course QB play in decision making and accuracy, receiver play in route running, drops, and most importantly chemistry and being where the QB expects them to be. By next year either Jennings has to improve immensely or Harris the same enough to pass him. One or the other has to happen for a solid chance at a SECW title.

Also agreed, many people here (including myself) predicted that record. Just a different list of losses (Arky for fuks sake!!!)

That happens a lot more often than Thursday.

It took 12 games to realize we are a 1 dimension team, that jet sweep should have been utilized in the beginning, we spend millions on coaching to figure this out sooner but oh well. Any team with a good or better defense will focus to stop the run. That game should not have been as close at it was, game plan changing in the 3rd and 4th gave A&M an opportunity until the end. I don't understand how LM doesn't realize the beast of a team he has and let the reigns geaux.

All in all a very entertaining season, i predicted 7-5 but will def take 8-4. Next year i guess the 'new' O-line will be the excuse but LM will keep it entertaing and I can't wait to see my Tigers!!! #LSUforever #BowlGameTime

I think I know what you are saying but we won some blow outs including Kentucky. We did put teams away. We heard this before, then 2011 happened.

There are a number of games under les miles that have come down to the wire in conference play. They struggle putting people away because they get conservative and haven't had a QB that can make those game winning drives that other teams have had against us.

I Rewatch ed the game and realize that penalties hurt us more than anything else in that one. We'd be driving and get inside of the 30 or 20, and just start marching backwards.

Same thing hurt us against Bama. Get down inside the ten from a turnover I believe, then after we got the 15 yard penalty, we were screwed.

But yes, with even a decent passing game, we are 11-1 this year. i look forward to the position growing next year.
