You can add the Democratic party in general.

If Obama is speaking he is lying or ppl just haven't realized that he doesn't read what he signs so he has no idea what he is doing.

I thought he said they wouldn't be eligible for Obamacare
However, I see no problem with this outside of his overreach by EO.
Seems reasonable.. Just should not be done by EO, should be voted on by Congress.

No such "lawfully present" immigrant, however, would be immediately entitled to the benefits because like all Social Security and Medicare recipients they would have to work 10 years to become eligible for retirement payments and health care.

The problem is is that most of these people are older. Their benefits will greatly exceed any amount paid into the system.

I've seen completely different
I thought this was targeted at children/spouses of people who have come over, most of which are in their 20s/30s/40s

The list of incredibly ridiculous stuff coming out of this administration grows longer every day......I have a feeling that the next two years will harm our country beyond repair!!!

Here's the rub:
Payroll deductions that are made under fake SS numbers, or under numbers of deceased persons, etc., go into a special account at the SSA. I can't remember the name of the fund, but I read about it a couple of years ago.
So, those who have been illegally living and working here can have all the prior payments they've made transferred to their new SS# account. They'll be at 10 years in no time, if not already past the 10 year mark.

So they are going to go to the govt and say "Hey, I've been paying SS for years... my employer has been falsifying govt documents and working illegal immigrants for YEARS... I want my money I paid in taxes"???

Well, from what I read, and it was on the SS website in one of the yearly PDF reports, they have to provide old check stubs or something documenting the time period that they used the number. No repercussions (for them, anyway).
I don't know about penalties for the employers, but if the SSA accepted the payments, how would the employer know the number was fake or the employee's documentation was fake? Do you know?

I would imagine or HOPE, that someone would verify name/ssn when the info was submitted. But if that wasn't done, then I guess there is no way for the employer to know. Although, during a background check, I would think a red flag would be raised saying "xxxx's name doesn't match the ssn provided"

Blindly blaming it on Obama when issues around verification were in place LONG before Obama took over.
But keep up the hackery

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you just didn't understand the humor I saw in your choice of words. It's OK. You can call me a hack if it gives you a boner. Glad I could help.

So the lawful immigrants aren't entitled but the unlawful are?

Is there an Apology to Joe Wilson out there by the Media?

Stephen Miller, a spokesman for Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, a leading Republican opponent of Obama's executive actions, said making immigrants illegally in the U.S. eligible for Social Security and Medicare "is an attack on working families."
"The amnestied illegal immigrants are largely older, lower-wage and lower-skilled and will draw billions more in benefits than they will pay in," he said.
