Well, he does have a bachelor's degree from Stanford along with some Master's courses under his belt.

One of the dumbest kids from my HS got an offer from Stanford because he was a star athlete. He turned it down and went to ASU but got kicked off for weed before he could play a game. Point is athletes get in WAY easier.

Well, they can certainly expect to hear from New York on this one

Millionaires getting paid to play a game biting the hand that feeds them. Moronic.

I don't really like the media policy of the NFL, but this was dumb on Sherman's part and I would be pissed off if I was Carrol

The guy just needs to STFU for once. If you don't like your employer's policies then quit.

quote:Biting the hand that feeds them?I'd love to see how much money the NFL would be making if every star player moved to a different league. You know because all the die hard fans these days don't pay money to watch the players, they pay money because of their devotion and loyalty to the NFL.

You better not ever complain about your job if that's your stance on it.

It's actually very good for the game of football that they have these rules and guidelines. Without these rules, I feel like all you would see is athletes plugging random products for a quick buck. It would essentially become like nascar and players start wearing company logos all over pre and post game attire.
The NFL has done a great job growing and strengthening it's brand/image by enforcing these rules.
Sherman forgets that this is the same league that affords him the opportunity to earn millions of dollars. No one is forcing home to play football for the NFL.
I'm not even a Sherman hater but he is wrong here, IMO

Just how poor does a person have to be before you think they are allowed to complain about their work?
Posted on 11/25/14 at 9:45 pm to TDawg1313
They're not completely wrong at all but this is not the way to go about it imo.

Every Stanford Athlete I've ever known has been national merit finalist...not dumb guys in the slightest bit.
You are just a misguided person. You probbaly like you black people in one place--where they are entertaining you

Sherman might be a jackass, but he is 100% on point here.

This seems really amateurish. For two Stanford grads it should be more polished. Maybe they came up with it on the fly.
As for the substance, good points. Glad they linked the advertisers with the TNF issue. Tags (and now Goodell) came up with TNF because its an extra how ever many billion dollars than if that game were played on Sunday. In the end, the NFL has three groups of people to keep happy, advertisers, networks and owners. They're lucky in that the networks do most of the sales for them.
Players safety is only a minor concern.
