I'm a member of a church here in Los Angeles that's about 40% black. None of them are out looting or rioting today.

The racial divide exists only in major cities that are largely segregated.

Here in the MS delta we interact daily, sure there are cultural differences and the blacks here have some issues of their own, but we get along fine and you won't see shite here like in ferguson

Have a grandfather that is the Chief Bishop from Cleveland, TN. Have churches in TN,AR,PA,LA,AL,MT,SC, and many more, plush lots of mission work in Mexico, Haiti, Africa...

About the same, 20-40 percent black, and even my friends from high school, who are black, don't post this stuff on fb. This is all liberal bs that only oppresses black people, smart people see through it.

so? because they don't act violently they don't have racial prejudices, they don't identify primarily by skin color...and maybe they don't.

there is a significant portion of people (and not just black) who identify, prioritize, and distinguish themselves by either skin color, gender, sexual orientation. Their beliefs, values, and sometimes actions are reflective of this.

What's the crux of this particular situation? "we're black, they're not"

I've seen it first hand at work, at school, living in New Orleans, etc.

coworkers discussing how even though they think O.J. killed someone, they're glad he got off. why? "we deserved that" and she had no problem saying this directly in front of me.

Black group outside of Riley's house calling me cracka, turkey, jew (had on a Tulane shirt, I look jewish)

The lines are drawn by people according to what are really, inconsequential things.

and in this instance, you see the biggest divide in America (and while it is a 2 way street, it is disproportionately so)

and despite all the evidence to the contrary, this is a racial issue, because they're black first and foremost...whether they rioted or not, that's how this has unfolded. That's how it always unfolds

disgraceful
