If the American Zombie Blog starts investigating things then its time to hire a criminal defense attorney ASAP and if I were Cassidy that's exactly what I would do today. Its a forgone conclusion that he will win the Senate race but if these billing activities are accurate he won't be a US Senator for very long as the US Attorneys office will be paying him a visit.
Why in the hell can't we have a good Republican candidate or hell any candidate regardless of party affiliation running who is untarnished.

WTF is The American Zombie Blog?
Sounds like something Tuba would come up with.

Is this a joke? I can't tell if this is a joke or not.

Smartass remark: Sounds like alot of tenured state employees I know.
Serious remark: You can't be dumb enough to submit false records to a govt institution and expect it not to be uncovered via FOIA or other means. Dumb!
ETA: This will have ZERO effect on the run-off.

Jason Brad Berry is a writer for Gambit Weekly.
Here's his Facebook

No doubt, a solid Landrieu supporter.

Excuse me if I question the impartiality of a post talking about how the guy Cassidy unseated, Don Cazayoux, is his BFF.

That blog is responsible for the convictions of Ray Nagin, Greg Meffert, Mark St. Pierre, and a large number of others.

Isn't that the blog run by Landrieu operatives?

Don't think so at all. AZ is quite critical of Mary & Mitch Landrieu on that website. AZ has been instrumental in exposing Mitch Landrieu on several issues including the taking over of the Wisner Trust and Landrieu's hospitality tax. There is no love between AZ and the Landrieu's.

So... Gambit Weekly is the authoritative source for the credit to be given to one of its writers?
Really?

I scanned the article. Is he really harping on $24k/yr?
Of course LSUHSC is going to bend over backwards to keep a US Congressmen on their staff.

But not critical enough to drive either from office, you say?

It's part of the deception.
Very clever on their part.

The "overlapping hours" docs appear to be pretty meaningless, at least without more detail. It generally lists an overlap because a 2-4 hour billing entry occurred on a day where a vote, taking literally minutes, occurred.
Looks pretty pathetic so far, par for the course for desperate Landrieu.

1) This is something that will need to be looked into.
BUT:
2) The primary 'gotcha' appears to be that he was present to make Roll Call votes on House bills on the same day he was paid for a few hours (3 or 4) work for the clinic.
However....
Soooo....the issue, to this blogger appears to be a problem with the "bending over backward" part. Because, IF the pay was for 'doing something on the internet'...then, there is zero conflict with being in DC on the same day.

it looks like LSU bent over backwards to accommodate him as an official staff member and pay him for doing....something on the internet...for 8 hours a week. WTF?
