AL vs NL..The DH Advantage in Free Agency(Sandoval signing related)?

While the World Series won AL vs NL somewhat diffuse the argument, Interleague play has went to the AL decidedly.
This signing really has added further to this debate, the time has come! Pitchers hitting is like making QBs play a few series at DB, it's asking James Harden to play at that other end of the floor each trip down.
I found a few Google articles arguing AL edge over NL via DH(with my angle of Free Agency accentuated as much or more a reason than is style of game, roster edge,etc..)..

Sandoval was offered more money and years by SF, chose to go a "new challenge"..replacing Ortiz in a few years surely a part of the decision process.
It's bad enough that NYY and Boston have monopoly money to sign with, this just another unfair edge. LAD and St.L and Cubs, when owned and/or run properly, the only few NLers that have a warchest to try compete this way. Maybe too the Phillies with new Comcast deal?

My f@cking Phillies..Ruly Carpenter just had to go fishing that day 30 years ago..missed the vote..a missed chance to keep Greg Luzinski and Keith Moreland busy without running around chasing balls down.

Uh no, real baseball is no DH.

I'm a lifelong NL fan. But, I think you are missing the point on some levels. Even if you enjoy the NL's 'natural' game during the regular season. Even if you have seen the NL level the playing field in terms of World Series won over the last ten-plus years..
I'm talking in terms of being able to sign the best hitters(especially if their bat is still there but may have been injured or always lacked athleticism or wheels), having quality bat depth allocated on a roster before the season's start in case of injury, being able to justify keeping a still great hitter albeit in possible Sabremetric decline and/or he's bogging down a young farm/bench talent at 1B or OF,etc..
It's seeming to become more of a factor in terms of Free Agency, and thus an edge.

Not really, guys will go where they go.
I am ecstatic the Red Sox wasted money on 2 declining players, it hurts them financially in other areas to pay bigger money for a DH while NL teams spend no money on a DH and it matters little to none come World Series time.
You forget they have to spend extra money on that position so if an AL team wants to spend $100 million on a guy to sit on the bench for most of the game go for it, and most teams want a solid DH, so in most cases like this, it's a lot of extra money. Gives NL teams more financial flexibility, especially if you're like St Louis and have a bunch of young cost controlled players to go with it.

Oh, I've considered the financial benefits in salary considerations/flexibility, but still think overall, it's an unfair edge.
Granted, I also agree and think the NL's closer lower scoring games, also has some great merit towards playoff intensity/strategy/practice repetition/etc..that has oft been mentioned by analysts.

Pablo said he felt "disrespected" by the Giants and that's part of reason he went Boston

I saw that too. Did he ever elaborate? My gut reaction was that he was upset that they didn't offer the highest bid first and instead the giants just gave a competitive offer.
I'd like to know more, "disrespected" is too ambiguous to me and sounds like one of those things you can say that keeps you from having to say why you really did something.
also, I expect the new commissioner to consider the DH in the NL as one of his first big time moves. Always felt like it was coming as soon as interleague play started happening every day.

He hasn't said why, I mean his deal is 5 years 98m and a team option for a 6th season. I imagine the Giants probably came in at 4 years 70m or something and he felt that was low, only thing I could think

ESPN said that the Pads and Giants offers were both believed to be at least 5/90.
Probably will never know. But I hope they tried to slide something in the offer about keeping from turning into a fat slob.

My team left the NL behind, added the DH. I hate the idea of having a DH. But over the last 2 years I haven't caught myself saying, "gosh I wish Scott Feldman or Dallas Keuchel were hitting here. It would be a much better game!"

I believe the Padres were the only team to offer more to Pablo than Boston. The Giants made a good strong offer but they were not going to outbid Boston. I believe the upped their offer at the end to make it almost comparable but was still short.
One would think when he initially signed and didn't, that he went back to the Giants to see if they'd match the offer. That could why it took more than half a day to get his signature on the dotted line.

So do I, think there is momentum this direction. That 'Gone Fishin' segment reminded me of when it happened..of course back then you just read about it in that week's The Sporting News.
