Not correct. Howard stops 2 extra points per game as a Center over a Power Forward who plays next to a guy who fills the role just as well as Howard.
Davis is a better overall defender. More steals and more blocks. Also much longer and rarer. Plenty of good rim protectors that you can pick up(Asik) so Dwight's role is more replaceable. 0 Big men in the NBA who will give you over 2 steals per game.

Howard presence on D leads to league leading D. Davis leads to below league average D. Not really debatable. Also Howard is superior at defensive rebounding.
