Not correct. Howard stops 2 extra points per game as a Center over a Power Forward who plays next to a guy who fills the role just as well as Howard.
Davis is a better overall defender. More steals and more blocks. Also much longer and rarer. Plenty of good rim protectors that you can pick up(Asik) so Dwight's role is more replaceable. 0 Big men in the NBA who will give you over 2 steals per game.

Davis has the edge in something quantifiable. Howard has the edge in something completely and utterly opinion.
