I'll let you reply

I used to have much higher expectations. At this point I expect 8-4, 9-3 at best. I used to expect going to the SEC Championship game on a regular basis. I don't anymore.

9-3 or some variant of that every year...
this year they very well could end up anywhere between 7-6 and 9-4

I expect them to have a shitty offense unless there is a future nfl quarterback on the roster who has had development under a college system other than Les Miles'.

My expectations change every year based on the team we have coming back, the schedule, and how the West looks.
What rational adult wouldn't adjust their expectations every year???
ETA: I expected 9-3 or 8-4 this year.

Throw more than 10 passes per half and complete more than 2 of them

2002 and 2004 must have been disappointing for you as well.

I'm assuming you mean BCS.
And that you are 16 years old.

7 to 10 wins with Les Charlie Miles McClendon coaching the team

compete for the SEC West crown every year. Depending on the talent level of the team, generally 10 wins is the expectation.

I lived through the archer/hallman/dinardo era, so I certainly don't expect 11 wins every year like lots of folks do...
I understand that any team will have ups and downs and with that comes some elite teams along with some rebuilding years as the players cycle through their eligibility...that was the case even when the almighty saban was our coach...
I would say that my "expectation" is that in exchange for the money that I pay, I get a competetive team that is fun to watch on a consistent basis...

9 wins or better each season given the cupcakes.
8 wins with the prior 12 game formant.
Fully expect team to be in solid NC Contention once every 4-5 seasons

Expectations change. This year I expected 9 wins. Remains to be seen.
Next year I expect 10+. I will not base my expectations on LM. I do it with the team.
I think it's reasonable to expect 4-0 OOC and 5-3 SEC on a yearly basis, with the random exception of a really tough OOC opponent. And this is a standard/low end expectation.

so because LSU sucked 15 years ago you don't expect them to be an elite program?
LSU has won two national championships in the last 11 years and went to another one. They have won 4 SEC titles in the last 13 years.
LSU isn't where it was in the 90's and I think the expectations should be greater than 9-3 and 8-4 every year. Les Miles is the 7th highest paid CFB coach in the entire country...

I grew up with hallman/ Dinardo. I don't see why we shouldn't expect 10 to 11 every single year. The program is leaps and bounds better than the early 90s.
I expect a sec title 1/4 years, win the west 1/4 years, compete for the west title 3/4. I can deal with a down year here and there but I feel like we have too many holes in our recruiting classes lately.

We also have the highest paid coordinator staff in the country to add to your argument. The gap will only increase as we raise Cameron's pay from $600k

Not to be embarrassed would be a nice start

A lot of left of center, a lot of right of center, A lot of running right smack into landmasses. A lot of confused looks from our qbs. A lot of clock mismanagement by our coach. A lot of bs from Miles on who is performed super well in practice. Some very good punting, some pretty good kicking, some solid defense.
