Interesting theory. Part of the reason this is only coming out now in a big way is that he intentionally had a story about it spiked by a fawning media that just wanted access. This was way after he started making his "pull up your pants" rants.

I've no delusions that famous people who "appear" to be good guys are not always good guys. In fact, I suspect they rarely are.

But damn. This is an odd case. In today's day, "spiking" a story aint what it used to be. Spiking a story these days is darned near impossible with the proliferation of networks and the web.

Sure, spiking it if only one source has it is probably doable. But, that hasn't been the situation here.

I admit it. Is suspect the dude is guilty of at least some of this. But, I'm just slow enough on my roll to wonder why the frick some comedian going viral is all it took to make it go huge.

ANY website seeking hits could've done this. Why didn't it happen before?

I don't want to believe its true but the idea that this many women are conspiring to bring the man down - sobfar after the fact when its too late to sue - is more absurd than the idea that he did it.

I agree that it's odd. But take a look at this:

LINK

It's a mea culpa by a prominent black author who has been very critical of Cosby's "pull up your pants schtick". He wrote a critical piece of Cosby back in 2008 and admits in this article that he made a huge mistake not also exploring the rape charges which he found to be disturbing and credible. Very interesting viewpoint.
