What do some of you not understand about most of us wanting Harris to start?

Its not about winning right now, because the season is a wash. We are playing for liberty bowl, independence bowl, belk bowl, toilet bowl at this point. HARRIS NEEDS SOME GAME EXPERIENCE, PERIOD THE END. He is the better natural talent of the 2 QBs, he needs live snaps to help grow for next season. If he doesnt get game experience this year, then next year it will take him more time to get his feet under him.

Are there people that want Jennings starting over Harris still?

you have the ones that bring up the auburn game as if to say that:
1. Harris hasn't learned anything from that experience
2. jennings did better than harris in said auburn game
neither IMO are true

Yep, if Harris doesn't get some significant playing time against A&M and in the bowl game and if he manages to beat Jennings out in 2015, then we're entering yet another season with an inexperienced QB.

We wont do any worse with harris under center. Plus, the season is a wash, belk bowl, indy bowl, whatever there isnt much difference. If we lose with Harris under center, we lose with Jennings under center plain and simple.

Jennings is clearly the superior hand offer bro.

If Jennings was performing even moderately well then maybe one could argue that he is the best option right now. But it seems unlikely that Harris could perform any worse than Jennings, and there is a possibility that he would be better, maybe much better. There just is no rational reason why Harris isn't getting some playing time based on performance. There has to be something else going on.

Does he post here? No.
Looks like OP does not apply to him. As usual, you're dumb.

What makes you think that Harris is better than Jennings?
Seriously. I'm not choosing sides, but I am challenging your statement.
How do you know he is better? How many practice sessions have you attended? How many team meetings have you attended?
What are your qualifications for judging talent? What is the basis of your position?
Please provide some evidence other than the guy sitting next to you at the Cypress Bar said so.
Thank you very much.

84 I hear you, and I agree that he needs the experience. At this rate, shite just let Jennings finish the season as the starter and play Harris during the games. Open the competition in Spring and let it play out, fairly I hope.
But saying it's not about winning is lame. As a competitor, Les knows nothing else but to compete for victory. And, the time has passed to get Harris some "meaningful" playing time. This should have happened in the Kentucky game. Maybe Les is thinking we are too far into the season, so let's just start fresh in the Spring. Harris will not be the first player to start at QB who didn't get "meaningful" snaps the season prior. It happens every year at other schools. Some of the players turn out fine too. Only at LSU does the backup need to get "meaningful" snaps to be better for the next year. McCarron, JFF, and Jameis says phuq that theory. If our QB situation wasn't so phuq'd, maybe the kid would have red-shirted as the others I named did. But start Harris now b/c with these two games under his belt, he'll set the world on fires as a true Sophomore and run the offense like a red-shirt Senior because he is now experienced. I want the kid to play too, but saying these last 2 games are the end all be all for next season is Tom Foolery.

They are very meaningless if Harris doesnt play. Jennings has gotten worse as the season has gone on if you havent noticed...

For one stats dont lie, 2 have you not seen the difference of quality football when Harris is in the game? Not only Harris, but the entire team seems to play harder

The games may be meaningless in terms of the season but not to Harris's progression as a QB.

Does it matter, frick this season. We are not elite. Get over it.
