Seems like they hit the nail on the head with Beckwith to me. He missed just as many tackles as Welter did this year...he just looked bigger, stronger and more athletic doing it. Since he was inserted as a starter, dude has straight balled.
Miles has started plenty of young players (who had more experienced players ahead of them), and for the most part they all seemed to play at a high level.

D.J. Welter started about 16 games at MLB folks.
