Its the roadrunner directly across the street from M&L tractor at the corner of St. Charles and 311. Catacorner to the old HTV. The Veteran that told him about it was Dr. McCallister....... a big advertiser on HTV. I cant ever watch HTV because no matter what I do....... I cant see the sides of the TV, its always cut off.

Used to be Danny And Clyde's
Now its a Road Runner, and the guy owns a few across Louisiana.

Customer said some hateful crap about him not being from America, and should learn about America before coming here.
Clerk called him an a-hole.
If that's the way it went down then good for him for standing up for himself. There's a reason why businesses are looking at Veteran's Day like it is the Bayou Classic.

It's a bit long, but worth the read for a good laugh.
That was a great read! Martin Folse is a world class idiot. This is the same guy that wanted criminal charges brought against prank callers of his show b/c he's too stupid to screen the callers before letting them on the air.
Local TV host declares war on foul callers

To my knowledge HTV has the only call in weather program in the world.
The most common question, usually from somebody in Dulac, is "Mais Martin, what dat stick say."

Can we get together and do a Tosh.O type of skit to HTV? Kind of like the Kiffin's Krimsom Korner.

Martin came into the restaurant I work at recently. He was wooing a lady. I cooked them both filets. He ruined his by putting vinegarette all over it.

Did he get it cooked well done as well?

Surprisingly no. They both got medium. So this girl he was with didn't finish her steak. The server asked if she needed a box. She said something to the affect of no Martin you finish it. Martin goes on to say. "Better box it up. She'll need the entergy later"

How many extra chromosomes do you have to have to just watch the show. And how many more do you need to get up out of your real tree camo Lazy Boy recliner and actually activate yourself into the community based on what that man says

Some of the funniest things I have ever heard on a call in show were on HTV during the freeze in we had last winter.
I think people call in just to act retarded. No one under 40 takes this show serious.
I surely don't.

This is the funniest part about the story.

I've been following it closely. I like Martin, but cannot bear to watch that TV channel. That crappy logo he came up with, the idiotic song he had Louisiana's Laraux sing, etc. It's such a joke (at least to me and a few of my friends).
Martin might be a lot of things, but he's not stupid. He has tapped into the fact that a lot of his viewers are racists and are a few cards shy of a full deck. His current calling card is a very much right of Rush Limbaugh call in show - designed to draw in those who are frustrated with government and what appears to be a decline in traditional American and South LA values. He has a ready audience. He is trying for "ratings" for whatever that means - in the Houma market. He is showing out to remain relevant. I think this latest stunt backfired on him badly.
Word I am hearing is that National media are sniffing around for a story on racism and that Martin is stoking the flames. Cannot say I disagree, but that would only further inflame an already volatile climate.
The other thing is this - Martin can seemingly act with impunity - he has no fear of criminal charges, because he is besties with the DA and all of the law enforcement. So no one can speak out for fear of being ostracized ala the Roadrunner store. And McAllister has a reputation as a hot head and is always spouting off about his military exploits. I am very familiar with one particular run-in with this guy and have heard of many.
My favorite line in the Ruthless peice is this:
Martin Folse will undoubtedly try to take control of the narrative and frame his own apology. He will use his control of the media to delicately rehabilitate his image, possibly appearing contrite and pretending he just let his immense love of America cloud his judgment.
