How about we bench MILES for 1 game and WE make the lineup...

Of course, no one needs to get paid..... Put together your 11 best on offense and defense. Let's have some fun as season winds down.....
LSU beats A&M the season is still considered a success considering the SEC West schedule.
BTW: Props to the HOGS! NO one (especially LSU) was going to beat them last Sat. night in Fayettville. They were a very determined and focused group - similar to LSU's effort against ALA. the previous week.

Would the lineup be much different than it is?

Kragthorpe at QB and keehn at RB. Only changes I would make

Fanaika would not see the field if I am HC.
Fournette will touch the ball more than 5 times.
We will mix pass and run more.
We will throw to a TE. More than once too.
We will throw to RBs out of the backfield more.

Whatever, Doc.

There are probably 15-20 teams who would have beaten them last Saturday. They hadn't beaten an SEC squad in 17 tries.

Yeah, but they shut us out. We lost to Alabama. Minor detail, but I'm sure you can glean something from it.

Caveat:
Assume this 1 game determines if you play for an upper tier bowl vs. getting ready for 2015 season: i.e. Jennings vs. Harris at QB scenario
IMHO Harris should start regardless. Jennings has not proven himself an upper tier QB on the field. Give someone else a try - please!

We throw a halfback double reverse throw back pass to the QB who throws it to Quinn deep down the middle for a touchdown.
We blitz all 3 line backers every down.
We run the "fumblerooski" at least once.

I have to be honest, I wouldn't trust the Rant to choose a lineup for or coach a 2nd grade flag football team, much less the Tigers.

The Rant was right about Beckwith and Welter.

So my idea to give D.J. A shot at QB has no legs. He knows the defense so well, I'm sure he could master the O.

You are gonna hang you hat on that?

Switch AJ and Brandon Harris...done.

I would:
Bench Fournette
Warm Harris up but not play him
As soon as a RB gets hot, pull him
Toss dive up the middle on 1st
Give the TEs the week off
Wishbone

The backup qb has to play the most snaps. Doesn't matter who it is. Bc the backup is ALWAYS better. I guess we will have to sub every play for maximum effectiveness.

Miquel James at DE. We could use another Trindon Holiday on defense.

Oh, is this one of those threads that confirms that most posters don't have a fricking clue about coaching?

a little variation...
send Miles off for a week.
Put up $ 1MM to be divided up between the coaches for a win....
how would the game plan change ?

Offense
QB - Harris
RB - Buga (rotate rest. stay with hot hand)
WR - Dural
WR - Dupre
WR - Slot (rotate)
LT - Collins
LG - Vadal/Boutte/etc
C - Dodd
RG - Pocic
RT - Hawkins
TE - rotation
This is base set. This has become the standard pro-style offensive set in NFL. You can still run power with this grouping. Spreading field will get people out of the box. You can run multiple formations (QB under center, pistol, shotgun) and still run the ball (straight handoff, delays, draws, misdirection, etc.). Opens up play action more. Gets TEs and RBs more involved in passing game.
LSU did this the 2nd half against Wisconsin successfully. We have not seen it since. Why?
The old 70s, "21 personnel", Air Coreyell offense is no longer effective and needs to be limitted or shelved.
