If they are truly going for a Beer Nerd type place I agree with most of the other posters that it would be better to go smaller, maybe 20 taps of really good stuff and keep them rotating weekly/bi-weekly.

I agree. It sounds like this place wants to be more of a night club two nights a week and attract the beer nerds for a few beers during the rest of the week. In my observations, the typical beer nerd would rather drink a beer in a quieter, low-key environment where they can socialize while tasting and smelling their beer without the sensory overload of being jostled by a crowd and blasted by music. I also agree that if you're going to try to appeal to a more diverse crowd, you probably need to serve food. Is there room out front/back for food trucks? They could schedule a different food truck for each night of the week.

One of the problems with 95 taps for the beer nerd crowd is that the good beers get lost in the crowd with all the BMC stuff.

Maybe there is a way to separate the rotating stuff from the full-time lineup. That rotating stuff is what's going to attract the beer nerds and they will probably drink off that list 90% of the time anyway. They can have a menu for the regular lineup and then have a separate menu for the "rotating" or "seasonal" taps.
