Where to find the best deals on Disney World Tickets?

I'm looking to set up a trip to Disney World in the spring. Where is the best place to look to get the best deals on actual park tickets?

I'm not sure actual paper tickets exist any more, they have completely moved to RFID "Magic Bands". You may be able to save a few bucks by buying third party tickets, but it most likely won't be worth not having the ability to preselect fast passes and link all your other spending methods with the bands.

I havent been in like 15 years so I have no clue how all that works. So really the only option is to buy through Disney at the listed price?

Also, any recommendations on places to stay? I have always stayed at a Disney resort but that was back in the mid 90's.....
I have looked a few a places and holy sh*t some of them are expensive. #NOTOTballer

Aren't you considered "military"? If so check the Shades of Green.

If you join Mousesavers.com (free) you get a members only link to Undercover Tourist save a few more bucks in admission media.
This is how I buy my tickets.
A new issue comes out every 15th.

Undercovertourist is the only Disney backed third party ticket sales site. You only save a few dollars though. Its usually more convenient to buy them directly from Disney.
Go to Disneyworld and search for special offers first.

Did ours through aaa and got heavily discounted meal plan for same price as doing it through disney alone.

You can get deals and perks included in a package that will save you money but unless you save a couple of bucks(literally a couple of bucks) through Mouse Savers, you have to buy from Disney at face value. No one else sells retail tickets. All places that sell discounted tickets are selling you tickets customers had left over from their stay and they probably won't even work now. They used to before technology got better.

Undercover Tourist is usually the best deal out there, but you want to make sure you buy them early enough so that you have received them at least 60 days prior to your arrival.
If you buy them directly through Disney (either with a package or not) they will directly linked to your MDE account by using your email address. if you buy them through UnderCover tourist, they need to ship them to you and then you have to go online and link them yourself or call IT and they can link them for you over the phone.
Shipping can take a couple of weeks so I would order them AT LEAST 90 days prior to your arrival date to ensure they are in on time.

I always buy tickets way in advance anyway. Prices always go up and they don't expire*
*until you first use them and then you have 14 days.
