I have definately been using hyperbole in talking to BP, but I don't think it is humane or even "painless" to shoot your dog in the head in real life. I am sure he is a good guy though But I'm on the OT right now, so I have to attack with 100% conviction and anger

My wife is a Dr. too. A well placed shot in the brain stem kills instantly. I've had to put down several animals that way, not just dogs. Having farm animals, it's common. It's not being a tough guy, but relieving pain.
