People need to stop with this 'there's no one to replace miles' theory

Who is saying this?

The point is that while we could make another home run hire and be in great shape, we could also be like Tennessee, still trying to replace Fulmer

I feel like if someone like fricking Les Miles can be the most successful coach in history here, then any halfway decent coach could turn this program into an absolute powerhouse

Fulmer hung around too long. He could no longer recruit an missed on 3 if his last 4 classes. Alleva screwed up with the contract extensions. The only way that Miles leaves is if he wants 2. We're screwd for at least 2-3 more years. By then it may be 2 late

Always possible and I've always been against going to a replacement.. however I feel now Miles is truly on the decline and his stubborn ways are costing us greatly.. I also feel the talent of Louisiana high school football is far superior than Tennessee and recruiting will always be a huge favor to LSU being the only major program in state.. I feel like if LSU would sustain the defense, they will still recruit high quality backs in state, and o-line.. that they really could benefit greatly from a coach who can get something big out of the QB position.. but hey that's just me now..
