Not sure if you've worked in Texas before but at low 50's you are probably looking at around $1,400 every two weeks (take home) after taxes/insurance/401K etc. You may want to work with an apartment locater service and see what they can find. Don't get strapped so bad you don't have any party money left.

That's almost exactly what my take home will be. And yes, I want to have extra funds to have fun for sure.

Greenville/ M streets area or near Knox-Henderson. If you are single, Knox-Henderson area is definitely the way to go

I live in Lower Greenville area and it's true that Lower Greenville has made a big come back from all the bars/ restaurants going under and everything being empty a few years ago. Knox/Henderson is walkable from lower Greenville and has a lot of bars/ restaurants. Right now, there are lots of new apts being built in this area and you can walk to most anything in this area. Uptown is still the area to go out if you are young, single and fratty....as I guess you are by your name. But it is expensive over there.
