I guess the sting from the bookman picking up his cash today might resonate with a few people.

Forgive my lack of desire not to type all this again, ut since it's continuing to be ignored, I'm just going to copy and paste my exact post on this.

Care to address the ones I mentioned above since you seem to want to quote SEC rules.
Why is it this rule is in place in the first place? Is it because the office inherently understands that having a connection to a university can or would potentially cause one to use their influence unduly? I think we can all agree it is.
Since that's the case...why no worry about Mark Womack as the CFO and third ranked executive within the SEC, and Steve Shaw (he of the aforementioned quote) being the head of officiating BOTH being alumni of Alabama? Are we to now pretend that an official in a game can effect things based on bias BUUUUUUT...the CFO and Head of Officiating are beyond such pettiness?
If the SEC gives the appearance of being concerned that someone with ties to a program could effect the outcome of games as an official, why no concern for that same problem when those folks are in executive positions where REAL influence could be wielded? The fact that this question has continued to go unanswered if fairly telling I think.

It's bigger than being an alumni if he is an alumni, you guys will figure it out eventually and will shite yourselves.

Can we just know what Ritter does for a living and what connection it has to Alabama or alabama boosters/fans/alumni
Seriously considering, if there is something in his job, to letting my cousin who is an fbi guy and does RICO stuff, knowing about it

I'm not one of the TD sleuths. For me, it doesn't require anything more than knowing that two of the most influential people within the walls of the SEC office are Alabama alumni. Given they go through the pitiful motions of attempting to make sure officials have no ties to the programs they are officiating (I'm not going to point out the plethora of loopholes for which there are no rules but I'm sure you can all see them clearly) then they understand that being too close to a program could potentially sway one's judgement.
So which is it? If being too close to a member program could lead to the inability to do one's job impartially, why no raised eyebrows about Mark Womack and Steve Shaw? Who in the SEC benefits from not asking this very simple question?
Anything beyond that is outside of my scope.

Any proof that his daughter attends bama?
Some variation of this rumor has been circulating for 7 or 8 years. She must be a doctor by now.

Looks like he runs a company that sells photographic, binding and numbering equipment (whatever that is) in Madison, TN. So what's the big secret?

I don't care about Ritter's kid or where she might or might or might not got to school. I'm way more concerned about the HEAD of SEC Officiating being a Bama grad. Yeah - I know he doens't call games, but the head of refs in the SEC ought to have ZERO ties to any school in the SEC.
What idiot thought hiring a Gump for that job would be a good idea? Even if he is the most honest guy in the world, its the perception of improriety that gives rise to all these conspiracy theories.

Why is it so hard to believe that the referees are corrupt? Sports in which large amounts of money are involved have a long history of corrupt officials. There have many stories in the past and there are many stories that will come out in the future. The evidence is on the field. It's not isolated. It's a recurrent pattern. And it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. It's time to get the government involved in order to stop this

while Ritter was the ref, he didn't blow the calls. in 14 it was the umpire. in 09 it was another official and the replay Guy.
OK, I'll play along; several questions for those of you following officiating closely:
1.)We've been talking about Ritter it seems for forever. We see him ANNOUNCE the results of a flag, but did he THROW them? There's SEVEN refs on a field, right? Which one made the PP out-of-bounds call?
2) I've read here that that replay official was fired- T/F?
3)Several times we see refs in position to make calls do not, but another from far away does....did the closest ref to PP make that call, or another? Same question, other controversial calls...
4) This past Saturday, how were the calls we're unhappy/suspicious about distributed? Who made them? a) ref standing few feet away from PI and facemask on Dupre, calls nothing, then calls TD catch out of bounds?
b)PF call?
c)who came from far away to call touchback?
d) last two PI no-calls- what ref was on them?
e) who's standing on the line right in front of illegal shift and doesn't call it?
f)the 14 flags to none game- how were those distributed? Does one guy throw a lot more than others?
I've seen talk of a Burleson, being a referee/Bama booster, member of their whatever they call their version of TAF...True or False? Unsubstantiated rumor? Whose ref crew did he work for? Is he still officiating?
So you made me have to Google the acronym TSSAA: Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association. "Cracker" insinuates something sinister w/ Ritter's day-job there...what could that be? My best guess, since he implies "we will freak out" when we find out what he does, is something with transcripts and credit compliance? Is Tenn such a hotbed of talent that an "inside man" in TSSAA wields any undue influence favorable to Bama?

Two things.
First...while he doesn't call games, he oversees current officials. He is their boss. Every official that calls games in the SEC reports to an Alabama alumnus. Let that sink in you fans of the remaining 13 universities.
Second...think about the idiotic notion that by making sure alumni do not call games that involve their alma mater you are somehow taking the potential for frickery out of the system.
Hypothetical:
Official Jones graduated from Florida...so he can not call any games that involve UF. But...he can call games that can and do directly effect the fate of Florida, does he not? Could he not, through a call in a game between a one loss UGA and a 2 loss TENN not potentially aid a one loss UF by making calls that go against UGA that end up in a loss?
For years Steve Shaw officiated games in the SEC. No...no BAMA games. But he sure as shite officiated games that directly effected his alma mater.

This.
I mean...so no BAMA fan will step up and say this doesn;t seem odd to them? Fine. Tell you what...let's pack up the SEC offices and roll them on over to the west a bit to New Orleans. We can replace Mark Womack with some highly skilled and qualified LSU graduate, and we'll replace Steve Shaw with the same. then, we'll restaff most of the day to day operational folks with locals. No worries, though...just because they are from Louisiana will not mean that all of them are LSU fans. and, let's be honest...even if they are, it's not like they'll allow that bias to show through in their work. Everyone knows that when people take a paycheck for a thing bias goes out the window.
Anyone in?
