Again, at the end of the day, they led four of the five games at the very end and still lost. The offense makes mistakes, but they also are the ones putting the team in the position to win at the end of the game.

They frick up, atone for it, get a lead and then the defense doesn't back them up.

You don't seem to be getting the point here. None of those games should have even been close to begin with.

they're also the ones spotting the opponents 7-14 points, depending on which game you want to point out.

Look, yes, Brees caused turnovers and brought the team back to get a lead, but the defense held SF to 0 points in the 2nd half before the 50 yarder.

If you want to give Brees credit for bringing the team back, you have to give the defense credit for clamping down on SF to even allow that much.

This is the way I see it when reading some of your posts:

Defense fault for giving up a last minute drive, but its all on Brees that we were back in the game.

0 points allowed before that play, ZERO. Defense may have allowed a single play to give them a shot in OT, but its the offense that put us in that position in the first place.

This season, there's only 2 games that the defense laid eggs and that was vs. Atlanta and vs. Dallas.

The other 7 games, the defense did what they needed to do with what they were given.
