I'm not saying you guys are wrong. But the team had late leads...like, last few minute leads...in four of the five losses.
and in 2 of those losses, Brees threw some of the most WTF worthy INTs to start the game as well (Cleveland/SF).
Brees almost threw away the TB game as well. It all points to the pressure allowed from the OL.

At the end of the day, you don't win games in the NFL with -2 turnover margin. It just doesn't happen when you spot the other team multiple scores off of turnovers. We were lucky to even be close in this one.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but
Payton Era good years:
2006 - 11 INTs total
2009 - 11 INTs total
2011 - 14 INTs total
2013 - 12 INTs total
Payton Era bad years:
2007 - 18 INTs
2008 - 17 INTs
2010 - 22 INTs
2012 - 19 INTs
2014 - 10 INTs through 9 games
It is empirical fact that this game lives and dies by Drew Brees's decision making.
If he stops throwing picks, we can win out, and win the superbowl. If he keeps fricking our team every game, we will not win shite. Maybe not even the division.
