I was at the Ole Miss game(and last night's game) and the crowd was constantly pushing the noise level to a 9-10.(using a scale of 1-10) the crowd was wild that night and was very special.

This game, however, the noise was anywhere from a 6-8 with it reaching 9-10 levels every now and then. It was pretty disappointing to be honest.

I was expecting the crowd to be as loud as I've ever heard it. But that didn't happen.

Anyone else feel the same way?

it's disappointing when your own offense takes the crowd out of the game

The crowd was definitely louder for Ole Miss.

The crowd was really tight last night. The ole miss game was a much looser environment. The noise level reflected this.

I think the crowd did their part, but Ole Miss was louder. Rally towels.

Downvote the OP all you want, its true. Crowd was listless. Not loud. Ole Miss I could not hear myself scream. Last night my 9 year old son and I were the only ones around us screaming.

Edited for clarity.

It is correct that the crowd at the Ole Miss game was loader and had more energy than the crowd at the Alabama game. I thought that the crowd last night was going to be absolutely crazy and was surprised to see that it was less intense than the crowd at the Ole Miss game. I wouldn't say that the crowd didn't do its part--rather, the crowd was load but not up to the Ole Miss crowd.

Well the defense was on the field 1/3 of the time. So for the 40 minutes we were on offense we needed to be calm.

I could definitely tell a difference from the student section. Texted my buddies about it during the game.

Ole Miss game was louder, but last night was really fricking loud too. But you're completely wrong for saying the crowd didn't do their part. We were yelling our arse off the entire game.

I can tell you I was told to sit down, that standing and cheering for our defense on third down was o.k. but sit and let me see the game the rest of the time.

That did not sit well with me.
