Does anyone have an issue with STTDB? If so, will you explain to me why? I'm just curious. I understand it has profanity in it, but why is that such an issue? Censorship is ridiculous over a song.

I have a few family members who graduated from OM, and I lived in Oxford for awhile, and I was furious when they quit playing Dixie. Really? It's not that big of a deal. People listening to the song aren't advocating the return of the confederacy.

Sorry for the rant. Just infuriates me. Play Neck. The crowd enjoys it. If you don't play it, they'll still sing STTDB. Get rid of the band and they'll just find another way around it. Let tradition stand. Don't give in to political correctness.

Wow. My STTDN thread just got whacked. I didn't realize it was so offensive. Is the band leader an admin here?

1. It's lame. It reminds me of something middle school kids would do.

2. It's disrespectful. Having respect for your opponent is a major part of the game of football. It amazes me how this is lost on so many people.

3. There are families at the game. Many people bring their kids to the game, and don't want them hearing an obnoxious, bratty, vile chant.

- Also, I'm not offended by it at all. I just think it's dumb, and unfortunate, because the band does a good job with the song.
