I am sure the pro's and con's of each gaming device has been mentioned here multiple times. As an old guy who hasn't spent much time gaming since Sega CD, what is the recommended console for kids age 9,7 and 5. They currently have a Wii and like it, but is the Wii U better or should I be looking at Xbox or PS4?

In my opinion, the Xbox and PS4 are targeted more towards kids who are a little older than yours. Not that they couldn't have fun with it. Are they boys or girls?

For the one that is 9 I would get a PS4 or Xbone.

Whatever you do, don't purchase them a headset for at least 5-7 years.
