The beer laws in Louisiana are backward as frick...
In Louisiana there are only two types of breweries.
1) 'Commercial Brewery'
- No limit on BBL/year brewed
- Allowed the privileged of having their beer distributed off site.
- Can only sell 10% by volume on site
- Can only sell their beer on-site
- Cannot have an on-site restaurant
2) 'Microbrewery'
- Limited to 12,500 BBL/year
- Cannot distribute beer bc Louisiana is backward as frick
- All beer must be sold on site
ETA: All this shite changes all the time and a LOT is at the discretion of the ATC, so there is no telling what the 'rules' are today.

Which I don't understand, because ATC is the most well run and least incompetent state agency.

Holy crap. Half the places in Portland would be illegal under these rules. Deschutes Brewpub wouldn't exist, and I think it is one of the highest volume brewpubs in the country.
Are these laws driven by BMC and distribution lobbyists?
