I am pissed that someone sent me this bullshite letter with my name, my families names along with my neighbors and they won't even say who they are. Public record is public record. Don't send me this shite and lie about who you are and make no way for me to call your arse on it.

"Call them" on what? Do you think they are lying to you?

Sullivan. It's been a disgusting ad campaign on both sides though.

Incumbent Gov. may lose to an independent too. Independent is a Republican who went indy and convinced the Dem candidate (Native American) to join his campaign

Sort of... My daughter shows that she did not vote in 2010. She was 16 and not of voting age. If they send this shite to my neighbors it is wrong and they are skirting with libel.

Yeah it couldn't possibly be from Republicans.

Let's ask the OP.

Do you live in a liberal leaning or conservative leaning neighborhood?

Sadly... I have seen this blamed on the GOP and Democrats. I don't care who did it or why. You take time to check my voting records and send me this shite and dress me down saying it is my "Civic duty". You tell me who you are and how I can find you hoss. It isn't a civic duty.

I am a libertarian and right now feel pretty damned good about it while feeling very sad for our country. We are fricked.

Both are doing it. I'm just curious who it was in this case.
Are you in a right leaning or left leaning neighborhood?

Uh yes..." a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation" Insinuating my daughter didn't do her civic duty in 2010.

What kind of stupid frick are you? I am guessing the kind that says Snowden should be locked away in Leavenworth for treason. Am I correct?

Which of these two statements is objectively false?

1) Voting is a civic duty
2) Your daughter did not vote in 2010

According to Google, different variations on these "vote shaming" letters have been going out en masse to voters in swing states for the last few days.

North Carolina, Georgia, Minnesota, Alaska, and New York were a few I saw mentioned.

It also seems to be coming from both parties, GOP in NC and DEM in NY were the two I saw confirmed but the rest came from vague organizations like the one you received.

In the NY instance, the Democratic Party was mailing them to registered Democrats who had failed to vote in the last two elections as a way to "motivate" Democrats to vote.

So if you or your wife or your daughter are registered with a party affiliation, you may have gotten it from them in order to "motivate" you to vote.

Actually I would be feeling quite the opposite of motivated if I had this shite pulled on me.

Come to think of it, whether or not we vote should not be public record IMO.

Just like the question "aren't you glad you stopped beating your wife?"

My daughter was incapable of voting in 2010 and was not registered.

Voting is not a civic duty but a privilege. Something convicted felons may be barred from. Serving on a jury is a civic duty. I see no where were voting is a civic duty.

If you want to side with the people who sent this crap, do it. I truly feel bad for you.

I have a friend who works with the state Republican committee. She reminds me all the time of when I voted and didn't vote.

You guys entertain me more and more as I get older.

I got a couple of those voter report cards in the mail, telling me I need to go vote and do my part. If they would have looked at their info on the flier they sent me they would see I have voted in every election since 1978 when I turned 18.
