If you are gonna spend the money, you can probably get better sounding ones.
Then again people tell me the same about the Bose ones and I got those as a gift and I love them and use them for a hours a day. Beats are probably more durable for physical stuff though...I wouldn't ever run or lift with the Bose ones. I dont even like wearing them unless I'm sitting at a desk or in a plane

They're still a plastic-bodied headphone. If you insist on on/over-ear headphones for working out, there are lots of metal (+ leather) options that would probably be more durable.
