Moultrie 990i Trailcam Problems

Anyone had any trouble with their 990i? I just bought it 2 weeks ago and mine is taking pics of nothing (face it north or south) and the temperature is off on the stamp by 15-20+ degrees. Night pictures have not been all that great either.
I'm thinking I got a lemon.
A few sample night time pics (also got about 20 blank (all black) night time pics with no ir flash).
A few daytime pics which are coming out great except I have about 75+ blank pics (no game in pics). Posting a blank pic to show what I'm talking about. Also notice the temp as the high last week was 75.

My FIL just got a Moultrie cam and we have not gotten it to take a single picture.
About to donate it to the dumpster.

Not sure what price range camera this is.
I've always leaned toward the cheaper cameras due to potential theft.
Wild game cams I used weren't great at night but enough to get by.
First camera I used in west tx had over 100 blank daytime pics like yours.
Best I could tell I mounted to too small a tree and the wind/motion triggered the pics.
Moved to a bigger tree and had no more problems.

My Moultrie 880 takes pretty good ones. I was just looking at the ones from last week. It may just be the camera
Are you seeing scrapes yet?

One of my 880's started doing this after a year and a half. This is the first problem I've ever had with a Moultrie. Blank and blurry night pictures, blank daytime pictures on windless days, etc. Sending it back this week.

I tried two different trees. Then tried in my back yard on a 4x4 post and it did the same.

I don't see many scrapes hunting the marsh. Not like what I see when I hunted near Baton Rouge or Vicksburg, MS.
Seeing a few rubs.

Yes it is very tough. I grew up doing it but it keeps getting harder as I get older.
Have a 30min boat ride, then have to paddle a 1/4 mile to my spot, then walk through 100-200 yds of marsh to get to my spot. If you manage to kill one then it gets even more fun.

I'm just not that mad at em anymore, I hunt within 200 yards of the camp in a 4x6 box stand

My m80 is doing the same thing. I've never much cared for this camera and its a battery eater.
My dad has a stealth can ($70). We put both cameras out last Saturday and checked then today. Mine had 11% battery and his had 85%

I'd say this is due to wind.
As far as the rest of the pics & temps I'd say a POS

Had this problem once. I set the camera about three feet off the ground and aimed down a little more and it fixed my issues.

I wish I could do that. Have to find a lease.

I'm going to send mine back also. This camer is only 2 weeks old so I shouldn't be having problems with it already.
I used to have an older IR (red glow) moultrie and hardly ever had blank pics on that one.

I have the m880i, bought it two months ago. My night pictures are great and were never fuzzy like yours.
Initially, I was having a ton of pictures with nothing in it. Maybe 50 pictures but only 2 deer. I changed my settings to take a 30 second video. I had the cam to high and was barely recording deer walking right in front of it. Then I moved it lower. Now, by watching a video I can see what triggers it. I can see that wind blowing grass, branches, and limbs trigger it. Bugs flying in front of it at night time trigger it. Birds flying by have triggered it. One video, at night, the first 25 seconds I saw nothing, then the last 5 seconds glowing eyes were walking towards the camera. During the day if it becomes really cloudy and then bright real quick has triggered it several times.
