Do states cross check? I mean from your experience you could have voted in both states if no cross checking was taking place?

Voting laws in this country are so fricked up and inconsistent and open to fraud it's ridiculous. We're like a fricking third world Banana Republic.

No. But people can. Whether you voted or not is public information in most states, if not all.
