The Avengers is a much better movie than The Dark Knight Rises. I saw DKR three times for whatever reason and liked it less and less each time. it looked like it was made with minimal effort from someone who was over making Batman movies. The Avengers was a beautifully shot movie that gave you everything you went to the theater to watch.

It's objectively a much worse movie. It's not even about taste, it's about knowing what you're talking about.

Raiders of the last ark is a fun movie
Avengers is no different than transformers or the Lone Ranger. It banks on featuring well known and well liked characters that have been around for decades
