Just because I am bored but also because this are fun to look at...
Fun Stat (National Ranking)
Offense
Points per Game - 29.9 (29th)
Rushes per Game - 47.5 (14th)
Rushing Yds per Game - 212.1 (32nd)
Yards per Pass - 8.3 (24th)
Time of Possession (% of Game) - 55.24% (12th)
Defense
Points per Game - 17.9 (8th)
Yards per Game - 332.1 (16th)
3rd Down Conv. - 29.66% (7th)
Yards per Pass - 5.5 (5th)
Passing Yards per Game - 158.8 (2nd)
Completion Pct - 51.52% (9th)
Time of Possession (% of Game) - 44.76% (12th)
Fun Facts
- LSU is now 2-0 after a loss this season.
- Ole Miss came into last weekend's game giving up 97.14 Yards Rushing per Game. They had given up 146 yards rushing in the previous 4 games too. LSU had 264.
My Favorite Fact of All....
If LSU beats Alabama, they move ahead of them in the SEC West. Auburn heads to Ole Miss next weekend and could easily lose dropping to 3-2 and tied with LSU. Mississippi State has Alabama and Ole Miss on the road (2 losses) and could easily finish 5-3 in the SEC. (Arky can beat them). Ole Miss losses to Arkansas too. Arky hits a run to finish the season. Auburn, fyi, has to play Alabama and UGA on top of Ole Miss, they might end up losing all three.
Final SEC West Standings
LSU - 6-2
Alabama - 6-2
Ole Miss - 6-2
Mississippi State - 5-3
Auburn - 4-4
Arkansas - 3-5
Texas A&M - 2-6

Who represents the west in this situation?

Better chance of 4 way tie with state also 6-2 and auburn beating ole miss. Still go to Atlanta

Seems very unlikely

Our best shot would be this happening
Auburn beats ole miss loses to uga and bama
Ole miss loses to auburn beats state
Bama loses to lsu beats state and auburn
Miss st loses to ole miss and bama
Lsu wins out
That would leave
Lsu 6 and 2 winning the tie breakers to go to atlanta
Auburn beats ole miss loses to uga and bama
Ole miss loses to auburn beats state
Bama loses to lsu beats state and auburn
Miss st loses to ole miss and bama
Lsu wins out
That would leave
Lsu 6 and 2 winning the tie breakers to go to atlanta

this result would end up a coin toss since all the other tiebreakers would be even between the three teams)
LSU - 6-2
Alabama - 6-2
Ole Miss - 6-2
No it wouldn't. LSU would win on head to head vs. both teams.

I have been telling everyone basically this same scenario. The teams in the west ahead of us have a lot of tough games. If we win out we have a chance to get into sec championship. Too bad the bcs isn't still around. The tiebreaker before would be the highest ranked bcs team. And with our two losses coming earlier then everybody else that would most likely make us the highest ranked bcs team.

Nice work put into that
I just don't see MSU losing 3 although most of the SECW's schedules are loaded on the back end with great teams so there will certainly be some position changes soon.

I love your optimism!!! And it is really a possibility...but the arky game is one I am worried about...we beat da gumps at home (very good chance), but then we go to arky all full of ourselves (as has happened in the past) and here comes arky playing their best game of the year against LSU...something about dem hogs, I don't like going up there when we have a bunch on the line...kind of like what we just did and always seem to do to the om weebil bears when they come to TS...

The NegaTigers and Miles Haters heads would explode if this happened
