Nothing ignorant about my post. We are in a predicament of which our O-Philo is a major factor. We already have two losses. For us to get to Atlanta we need a lot of help from UGA, Auburn, Bama, and OM.

The O isn't defined by a single drive vs OM or a game. But the season as a whole and championships at the end.

We can win out and there's still a chance to get to Atlanta. I have hope. And I don't think this team has peaked at all. But to put our future in the hands of four other teams when we scored 10 meaningful points vs State/Auburn warrants rethinking some things.

I don't think many, myself included expected to go into this season and win a championship. Maybe that's foolish of me or not expecting enough but with the qb, wr, and interior defensive line ?'s we had coming in, I would have put us between 8-4 and 10-2 with 11-1 being my most optimistic.

What I thought was going to be our biggest strength that took longer than most of us expected to develop was our offensive line. I thought we would continue to be a great power running team with the experience we had coming back at o-line and rb.

Now I was not expecting the utter humiliation that we received against ms state and especially auburn, but I did think the youth and inexperience would be tough to overcome.

I know our O isn't defined by a single drive or game but we have shown in every game with the exception of the Ms State game that we can line up and run on anyone. Even in the Auburn game we ran the ball very well on first down, then shot ourselves in the foot often on second and couldn't complete a pass to save our lives.

I think last year's offense is what we aim for every year. The balance we showed is what I think Les Miles wants to have. This year it just isn't there. But our guys are getting game experience and will come back next year and the year after and be a damn strong football team.

I like the way our program is built. Every year we are in the hunt, but some years we will be in a rebuilding phase. I think this year is a bit uncharacteristic with the strength of the west. Playing the same schedule against these schools last year teams, and I think we would be looking at at worst 7-1 right now with the lone loss maybe coming to Auburn. But those teams are stronger this year.

Bottom line is that for the last 14 years, we have played in the Nat'l championship every 4 years and were in the hunt for several others. I don't think any program in the country would decline a trip to the Title every four years. And most of that has been with a similar offensive style that we see now.

Just my two cents. Take it or leave it.
