No matter. We still get a trophy and can hang a banner.
They hand out trophies for divisional champions?
Is there historical precedent for LSU hanging or not hanging a divisional co-champ banner that did not include a SEC CG berth? I guess it would be the first time.

I think all division co-champions get a trophy even if they don't play in the SECCG, but different schools recognize it in different ways.

If we are tied with allbarn, they win tiebreaker for beating us.

True, if we're only tied with Auburn. If other teams are involved in the tie as well, it gets more complicated.

I still think Georgia surprises everyone and goes to the playoff, all they have to do is beat the west in the SEC title game and they get in, no one is talking about it...and everyone is saying how down the east is this year, i bet it happens...

Auburn has the best opponent record with UGA in the mix. UA would likely be next I think because Florida will likely finish higher then UK due to h2h.
Florida finishing higher than UK wouldn't make much difference, since LSU also played Florida. It's Tennessee and Kentucky that would make a difference for LSU and Alabama. LSU would need Kentucky to finish higher than Tennessee, while Alabama would need the Vols to finish higher. It would be pretty funny if lowly Kentucky and Tennessee were playing in late November to decide the SEC West title.

It happened in 1996, 1997 and 2002. I don't recall ever seeing a banner for any of those, but there may be one somewhere.

Pretty sure we hang those inside the practice facility.

The Advocate's explanation of tie breaker
?? That article certainly doesn't cover a four-team tie.

The writer didn't even consider the most talked-about scenario on here, the 4-way tie. If the 5-way tie scenario plays out, except Auburn loses to Georgia, that's what we'll have.

Understood. That question was answered in the first reply.
