Thats the only thing good edic clapton ever did in his career besides the yardbirds
Jack Bruce was indeed one of the greats.
The Cream Reunion at the Royal Albert Hall in 2005 was spectacular. It was just two years after his liver transplant. What a performance.
Ginger Baker isn't long for the world either FWIW.

Sad to hear this. One of my favorites, both with Cream and other collaborators (Zappa, Trower, etc.)

He and Ginger didn´t get along well as people, but Ginger recognized his absolutely amazing talent.
An absolute beast of a musician and composer.

Jack Bruce - amazing talent, West, Bruce and Laing's albums are worth checking out too, especially the first one.
The lack of respect and classlessness on this thread is truly amazing.
Clapton has consistently put out quality music for decades and is hugely respected in the music community. Now I will admit that I don't prefer much of it due to personal taste, but to trash him is unbelievable and speaks more to your ignorance than any thing else.

It's the same d-bags that douche up every thread on this board. It's getting harder and harder to even click on here anymore.

He said one of his goals with Cream was to push the bass out from behind the guitar, and he did this in a spectacular way that actually enhanced the sounds of the other musicians. A good dude gone.
Huge loss. Watch "Tales of Brave Ulysses" from the Smothers Bros show, Bruce absolutely dominates and was the star in that band. And that is in no way a knock on EC.

Watch "Tales of Brave Ulysses" from the Smothers Bros show,
"Wheels of Fire" is Jack Bruce tour de force--musically, lyrically, vocally. He was a madman on the bass, a decent songwriter, and his vocals on "Fire"--well, i wish I had that kind of voice.
