He's a father of four with millions in the bank. He can be what he wants to be. To me he's lost a little fire and is trending downward. Still better than many but not what he was.

We aren't in a must win situation yet. And, we will most likely lose.

The way our division is playing he is correct

I think Brees developed alzheimer's. He probably thought we won last week. He's lost and confused

He just doesn't give a shite anymore. Neither does Payton and their "no big deal, just do whatever, no need to panic, no need to worry, no need to have any sense of urgency" attitude is piercing every single aspect of the team.
It is infuriating.
It is infuriating.

And there's the problem.. our leader is content where they're at right now. Rather than thinking every game is critical and a "must-win" he's just sitting comfortably in 2nd within the division.
That fire and drive from 2009 is noticeably gone.
Silly stuff.
Frankly, I'd never say any game is "must win" unless it's literally a must win.

Both the games against Carolina are at home???

Everyone's saying this, but it's not the point.
He shouldn't say it isn't either. He might as well have said well, it's ok to lose this one because our division's so shitty, we might just be able to limp our way into the playoffs.

You really don't like the truth huh

Brees is not delusional. I agree with him on his comments.

Actually no this is not a must win. But mentally I think it is. With the road woes this team has had, its crucial to get a W at home

Not by any means do I want to, but I'm just curious what trade value Drew Brees has today. It
He's about the same age as Manning when teams were lining up to sign him.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see the division go 0-4 this Sunday.
Shameless bump.

keep the bumps coming!! in years past we put together a list of the delusional idiots and as soon as things got better they were executed with swiftness. its absolutely astounding how quickly this fan base (more like just this board) is so eager to jump all over the greatest QB in saints history. and of course once things go back to normal, they stray as far away from previous posts as possible.
frick the haters. who dat.

WAAAAY more importantly from that game:
24att 172 yrds 1 TD 0 Fumble
We need the run to set up the pass. I've said it every week this season.
And it goes to my point. Maybe Payton was bluffing. Maybe he said what he said on purpose. Although after this week he said Ingram still didnt do well enough to prove he deserves to be the number 1 back. As i said, we stay that same, we lose. That attitude is infuriating. This game Payton changed up his game plan, and we won. I hope he was paying attention.
