It depends on the situation, but it's highly unlikely that I'd support the USA in any kind of military action against its own people.

This guy gets it.
The question to ask yourself is would you support the President sending in troops to forcefully reclaim a state that took a popular vote to peacefully secede from the union.
I don't think there would be much public support to get a bunch of Oregonians, for example, killed so that Oregon would stay in the union.

this is why i would side with secession if my state were choosing it in a majority wins vote on the matter...in the War of Northern Aggression, the southern states made their decision...they had also ratified the Constitution meaning it couldn't go forward without their approval...how then are they locked into it?...they should be able to leave just as freely as they joined...
