Major props to you Box for what you have done to lose that much weight.

I went on the Ideal Protein diet a few yrs ago and lost around 35 lbs. Never bought the food they sell, just learned how to read labels and avoid the bad stuff.

It was crazy easy....once you change your eating. And that can be very hard, considering the world we live in.

Sure you can avoid all fast food for a short while or even a long while, but there will be private parties and simple get-togethers loaded with chips and dips of all sorts and breads and cheeses, and you have to learn that you can't eat any of it. You can have the fresh veggie tray ONLY...........followed by water....ONLY.

Do not kid yourself. It is a difficult change to make in this carb-loaded and calorie-loaded world, but it can be done. Take the approach that your eyes are now opened to the evils of the western diet, and you will shun it forever once you see the weight you lose, and get the idea that you won't need to buy a Hoveround scooter like everyone else at some point in your future.

Did you pay a lot less by doing it on your own? If so, would you mind emailing me a typical grocery list?

Everyone I know did it with a physician consult....

One thing you learn real quick is how much bad crap is in all the processed foods we eat
