The administration will never admit it but UM not seriously pursuing Miles for the HC position in the past may go down as one of the biggest missteps that program has ever made.

UM seriously pursued Miles at least once. It was torpedoed from within, though.

I don't agree here.. To be fair Miles came to LSU AFTER Saban put it back on the map... He has just had to keep the cupboard full which he can at LSU... I ASSURE you he would NOt get the type of players at UM as he has gotten at LSU......

I would like somebody to finally clear this shite up for me. I have heard they offered him and he turned them down, I have heard that some wanted to offer him but others with more stroke didn't want him, and I have heard that he was never in consideration, and this goes for both times UM was looking for a coach.

Does anybody really know WTF happened?

I think the only reason they didn't seriously pursue him twice was because of how clear he made it that he wasn't going anywhere. Had he wanted to jump ship either time, he easily could have.
