I'm all for tradition too, but our helmets look stale and need a refresh. LSU actually used a different tiger head logo on our helmet this year. It was a little cleaner than the old one, but is still a mess. I love the tiger eye - it's distinctive and noticeable. Hell, it's our midfield logo, and it's looks fantastic. Wish we would use it on the helmets too.
I vehemently disagree with this post. I love the current helmets. I think the tiger head modification was more than enough to clean it up a bit.
And for the love of God, no tiger eye on the helmet. Leave the goddamn helmets (and Britney) alone.

You do realize that between 1955-1976, our helmet was changed 6 times. Old gold to yellow, add numbers, change number font twice, add tiger head logo, current design.
Oh, and we changed the tiger head this year, which shows that we're aware the old tiger head was unrecognizable. But the new one is barely better.
I'm not talking about doing an Oregon-type thing. Just change it up a bit, and keep some traditional aspects.
Tradition is good, but old and stale isn't.
