2.5 hours before kickoff?? I was with you on all of this other than that part. WTF are you doing for 2.5 hours? I get there about 40 minutes prior to make sure I see pregame and all of that but are you getting there to watch the players get stretched out?

Yeah...I'm usually the first person up the escalator each week.
As for why, it's pretty simple, though not everyone would agree and that's fine. I'm there entirely for the football game. So, I want to get into the place where they play the game as soon as they'll let me. I don't really tailgate any more, so I'm not leaving something awesome...where I'm going is way better.
I've never once run into "traffic" getting into the stadium. Remember hearing about that cluster frick that was getting into the EUD a few games ago? Yeah...I miss that entirely. Every time.
I also like watching the guys enter the stadium...theirs and ours. I enjoy watching warm-ups...watching it the QB's are hitting guys in stride even in warm-ups or not.
This year they've been playing whatever the big game is that day on the screens, which has been nice.
I usually grab whatever food I'm going to get pretty early, and then I'm done with that usually for the night. I'll go grab a Coke or something at halftime or between quarters, but I'm usually not going to be fumbling around with food during the game.
Plenty of reasons. It's not for everyone...but it's part of my game day ritual.
